Starting out
The agricultural, ground care and garden machinery sectors of industry are generally referred to as Land-based Engineering. Within this sector the industry is diverse and made up of dealerships, manufacturers and suppliers all working together with an estimated annual turnover in the UK of £4 billion pounds.
There are a wide range of exciting and rewarding opportunities for people in the Land based engineering in all areas of business from engineering to sales management within dealerships or manufacturers and suppliers.
From the age of 16 individuals can apply for apprenticeship programmes that are sponsored by companies or through one of the Land Based Engineering Colleges in the UK. Some contact details are provided below:
