Terms and Conditions
Apprentices are employed under different terms to normal employees and different salary levels apply. It is also possible for an employer to insist on certain conditions being met prior to employing and sponsoring an apprentice. These may include a ‘claw back clause’ for the repayment of some of the costs of training if the employee leaves before his contract is complete.
Franchised employees may be able to enrol apprentices into manufacturers training schemes once they have attained a certain level of experience.
BAGMA will be providing more information for this section in the near future.
