Shopping with credit card and debit cards has now become a part of everyday life.  The majority of retailers offer some form of electronic transaction facility and BAGMA members are no exception.  However, despite being convienent for the customer, the cost of offering this facility can often be quite high.

The BHF Group has negotiated a deal for card processing charges with Barclays Merchant Services.  These rates are available to BHF group members using one of Barclays own PDQ terminals.

On-line terminal rental is only £15 + VAT per month
No joining fee for members of the BHF Group 
No minimum monthly service charge
American Express & Diners Club can also be processed (subject to separate agreement)
Free electronic authorisation 24 hours a day 365 days a year
Customer Services Department open 8am - 8pm Monday - Saturday and 9am - 6pm Sundays and bank holidays
JCB cards subject to a 0.25% surcharge and Corporate/Business/Purchasing cards subject to a 0.5% surcharge.

To start reaping the benefits of this deal, telephone the New Business section at Barclaycard Business on Freephone 0800 61 61 61.  Advise them you are a BHF Group member (have your membership number ready - find my membership number) and have your company and bank details to hand.  Barclays will then take care of everything and you will be up and running usually within 10 days.

If you are an existing Barclays Merchant Services customer, you are also entitled to these rates although a change of terminal may be necessary.  Phone 0870 60 600 60 with your merchant number and they will let you know.

If you are not a Barclays Bank customer, it doesn't matter.  Payment will be made into any bank account that you request.

If you have already signed up with another card processor check your current rates with the above rates now.  You will probably find that you can save more than enough to cover the cost of terminating any existing agreement.
