Lobbying and Information
BAGMA also uses its collective power to engage with UK Government and European Union institutions and provides industry support and representation in some of the following ways:
- Debating industry issues with government enforcement bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive, Department for Transport and VOSA
- Dealing with members legal issues such as fairer dealers contracts;
- Working with industry stake-holders and other reade associations to develop industry standards and codes of practice;
- Developing and delivering training courses and assessments to meet new legislation;
- Carrying out and participating in industry research and survey work on behalf of members;
- Working with European dealers and dealer organisations to influence European legislation for the benefit of members;
- Promoting industry recruitment, retention and development through careers projects and the Land Based Technicians Accreditation Scheme (LTA)
